Hi listmembers, i hope someone could give me a hint what i'm doing wrong. I've got a KNC1 DVB-S Tv Station Budget-Card without MPEG-Decoder. I'm running debian sarge with a selfmade kernel 2.4.27 and DVB-drivers 1.1.7 from metzlerbros. With that config everything runs fine, i'm using vdr to record and watch TV. Now I'm trying to build a kernel 2.6.9.. the DVB1.1.7-drivers don't compile - that's not critical as the linuxtv.org drivers are in the kernel-tree and are said to support my knc1-card. Running the new build kernel (in a own partition), the system recognizes my card and loads the modules - first error message says 'MAC signature failure'. Then i loaded the module stv0299 - the tuner is registered, all seems fine. I then could tune some channels but can't get any stream data! szap -r ZDF locks on the given channel, but cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > /tmp/recording gives an empty file. vdr stops shortly after starting a recording, again with size 0 for the file.
