[linux-dvb] Stock Linux kernel readyness?

Hi,

I'm building a system containing a Nova-t PCI card using FC3.

It looks like all the bits are there: device and frontend but the frontend
is not being loaded. i.e. not frontend0 device.

Should the latest stock kernels work with the nova-t and I'm being
stupid/missing something or do I need to go for the vanilla kernel source
with patches and dvb-kernel links?

If so which is the best kernel version to go for, 2.6.10 rc2?

If anyone has got the nova-t card working with or without a stock kernel
on FC3, please let me know.

Thanks,
Tim

Kernel 2.6.9-1.681_FC3 from src rpm

both /lib/firmware and usr/lib/hotplug/firmware contain
dvb-fe-tda10045.fw
dvb-fe-tda10046.fw
tda1004x.bin

dmesg shows
saa7146: register extension 'budget dvb'.
PCI: Enabling device 0000:00:10.0 (0004 -> 0006)
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:10.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10

DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T  PCI adapter 0 has MAC addr = 00:d0:5c:20:2c:c0

with no mention of frontend

All drivers are compiled as modules.
