[vdr] Re: Re[2]: Mplayer can only play in foreground process




You're right mplayer works then.
But when using the -d switch in the commandline it tells VDR to daemonize -
and then RUNVDR won't run correctly :-(
So if a driver problem (or something else) occurs, VDR does it's emergency
exit and RUNVDR is quit too :-( So no driver reload or something :-( Try it
! Its broken then :-(

Without -d runvdr runs as supposed but mplayer refuses to play (seems to
wait until made a foreground process)

Does anyone know how to call a program and force it into the foreground,
even if the calling application runs in background ? Something like "mplayer
&" but the other way around !?

Maybe this could be the solution ...
