How many DVB cards do you have in your system?
If you have _one_ card, and EPGScanTimeout is set to a non-zero value,
VDR starts scanning all transponders for EPG data that many hours after the last
user activity. Apparently there are problems in tuning to several of these
channels.

Can you tune to these channels _manually_?

The loss of colors must be a driver problem - at least I can't think of anything
inside VDR that could cause this.
