The AlphaCrypt module doesn't work because there are problems with some CIMs
and the current Linux DVB driver. It doesn't matter which smartcard you are
using - the AlphaCrypt will never work. You might however want to try John
Williams' modified driver available from http://www.linuxdvb.tv/driver which
does work with the AlphaCrypt CIM. There are some problems with A/V sync and
VDR's OSD though ...

Well, it's illegal because the manufacturer of the Irdeto Allcam hasn't
obtained a Betacrypt license. I think, under the new German
"Zugangskontrolldiensteschutz-Gesetz" it shouldn't be illegal to own an
Allcam but you must not sell it ;-) Premiere World won't care if you are not
using their D-Box as long as you don't bother their support hotline. They
are planning to abandone their D-Box this year anyway and new receivers have
been announced already. I haven't read anything about official Premiere
World Common Interface Modules yet ...
