My Idea was to change that, so you could use [MTWFS] for
active timers, "-" for permanently inactive days and
"I" for "inactive once" days.
If you want to allow any letter to be independent from the
natural language, you can of course use [A-Z] for
active timers, "-" for permanently inactive days and
"0" for "inactive once" days. That could even be expanded
to "1" for "inactive twice" days, etc.

That, too, would work just fine with my simpler suggestion.


In any event, as I said in my previous mail, your idea is
more work, but more powerful, so I am not at all against it.
