If you do not need/like XFS  "Ext3" would be a good.

Ext3 has the advantage that it can be used as Ext2
and can be booted easily from.
It is a "journaling FS", so you need no lengthly "check file system"
after a hard drop.

Reiser is real goog on systems with many smal files.

Pay attettion to the FS parameters.
There is no sense in millions of possible file entries.
Some thousand (hundret) will be OK for a video disc.
