Sorry for contradicting, but wouldn't it be helpful to
get some sort of hierarchy with the configuration
files? I think of something like '-c1', '-c2', '-c3',
a list of directories scanned in this order? So
everyone can decide for him/herself, whether he/she
wants a common channels.conf, timers.conf etc. in a
networked environment. I'm aware of the problems
arising with the vdr-generated files (e.g. epg.data)
and with common access of rw-files by several
instances of vdr, but I think you'll find a solution
;-)
