[vdr] LIRC (setserial ...)?

Hi all
I have done all as described on 
http://home.t-online.de/home/hubertus.sandmann/
(_setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none_ too) on Suse 7.3
Sometimes it does with LIRC but most of the time not...:-)
Is there another way with non new kernel compiling (with serial as
module)
