This will require a complete replacement of the default recorder
and player. I am planning to make it so that even these core objects
can be replaced by a plugin, but this may be possible only in a later
version. The first version of the plugin interface is targeted at
allowing things like Andreas Schultz's DVD player (and other players,
like MP3 etc) to be developed without having to patch the core VDR
code. It shall also allow the LCD display to work without patching.
