[vdr] OT: How to increase the Volume of a Audio-Track ?

Hi all

First: Thanks to all who helped me to find out how to convert a 
with VDR recorded Radio-Station Stream to a MP3.

This works realy great here !

But i have a Problem: The Volume of the Track is too low.

Does anyone know a Linux Command-Line tool to increase the Audio
Volume of a MP2 or MP3 AudioFile ?

I only know Window-Tools like Cooledit or SteinbergWAVELAB.

But i want to make this automatic as 1 process....
