It's not that simple.
There are DVDs that do not tell the software rightaway their RC.
The player software has to read program code from the DVD and execute it.
While executing the palyer software will be challenged to give its RC which is subsequently checked. If the test succeeds the player may access the data on the DVD. Therefore, the easiest way is to set the RC of the player software vi menu.
