[vdr] what does vdr check on menu open?

hi again,

another question :)

what does vdr check on pressing the menu button? i got my hd spinning up,
every time i press the menu-key.

the vdr-configfiles and the /video are on a nfs-server. but it seems it
looks for something else on the drive

oh, and another one.
if i share a directory with 2 vdrs, is it possible, to use the timers, set
with the 2nd vdr ind the first?

in fact, i want to have a server with a nova card, just to run for streaming
and for the recordings (this works good with nova, right?) and i have a
workstation with a full featured card for playing, watching AND programming
timers. but itīs not always running, so it would be cool to have the server
with the nova do all the recordings.. 

any ideas?
