Well, the dxr3 plugin works well enough considering it's still alpha-quality
code, and Dxr3's can be picked up on eBay for about £25 at the moment...

I'm sure that the mplayer plugin which allows replay of .AVI, .MPEG, .ASF,
etc. through a DVB card will be extended to allow mplayer to act as the
playback for DVB MPEG2 data...

Of course, the quality will never be as good as a real MPEG2 hardware
decoder hooked straight to TV-out (interlaced MPEG2-> progressive for VGA ->
interlaced TV out of VGA card)

Out of interest, what price did they quote inc. VAT + delivery?

Cheers,
Gavin.
