[vdr] Re: Mplayer (output) Plugin ?




We have had that discussion a lot of times now.

You could use the "-slave"-option of MPlayer to feed it with the A/V-stream
and control it (if you start MPlayer with "-slave" you can embedd the
commands into the A/V-stream like \nCOMMAND\n ).

The worst problem is the OSD. To feed the bitmaps produced by VDR into
MPlayer patches for MPlayer are needed.

We're looking for someone to do this for a long time now ....
