No, by keyboard.
But when I try to compile vdr with "REMOTE=KBD", the plugin does not
compile ("#error...").
So I wonder if I should compile the whole vdr (and plugins) with 
REMOTE=LIRC, even if I want to use the keyboard as remote.

I understood that, only question was/is the compile-time.
