The remote-plugin only works with input-devices (reads from
/dev/input/eventX), no more with Lirc.
The DVB-driver has dropped Lirc-support and uses input-device now. That for
you have to load the keymap, which maps the IR-codes to input-device-codes.

Only support for input devices, which should be enabled by default.

Who needs Lirc? The idea of the input-device is to have a control-interface
where you can control any software with any hardware.

So, if you are having a IR-receiver with support for input-device (what your
DVB simply is), you won't need Lirc
