Yes, no chance.

I ran into a similar problem once a recording ran endless because of a
programming error. As I want to keep only cutted recordings permanent I
have changed vdr to convert the priority of cutted recordings
automatically to 99 to prevent automatic deletion. I also renamed all
old cutted recordings to priority 99.

May be Klaus can add this feature to one of the next releases.
