I'm using the latest ci.c.
This is what I get:

make insmod:
Feb 8 16:14:17 star kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00
Feb 8 16:14:18 star kernel: DVB: registering new adapter (Technotrend/Hauppauge PCI rev2.1 or 2.2).
Feb  8 16:14:19 star kernel: stv0299.c: setup for tuner BSRU6, TDQB-S00x
Feb 8 16:14:19 star kernel: DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (STV0299/TSA5059/SL1935 based)...
Feb  8 16:14:21 star kernel: DVB: AV7111(0) - firm f0240009, rtsl b0250018, vid 71010068, app c0012110

in ci.c:
static bool DumpTPDUDataTransfer = true;
static bool DebugProtocol = true;

in eit.c I uncommented the //just for debugging lines

./vdr -l3

fom syslog:
Feb  8 16:24:49 star vdr[27467]: VDR version 1.1.23 started

from stdout:
[root@star vdr-1.1.23]# ./vdr -l3
Resetting slot 0...failed!
Resetting slot 1...failed!
--> 00 01 82 01 01

.. I have tried all the possible combinations:
start vdr with the cam already inserted (slot 0 and 1), start vdr without the cam and then insert it ... same results.
I think I'll try to get ahold of a PCI CI .....
