Are you using mimencoded attachments with MS exe included?
Or does your mailer not include a message id?
Such mails will be returned with `no permissions' by my
procmail filter. Note: I'm not willingly to change that or
otherwise the flood of spams, mail viruses or auto dialers
will flood my mail folders which is inacceptable.

For your ALSA problem ... you've to solve the problem of your
user space interface of ALSA ... the kernels ALSA version
or better the kernel modules for ALSA should fit the ALSA
user space libs, tools and configuration scripts. Then it
will work.

Hopefully you know what I'm talking about ... if not you have
two options:
... reading the fine manual(s) of ALSA about installation
and usage from the source to learn more about (the you know)
... or ... you do a fresh installation of a linux distribution
of your choise but including ALSA ... most of them have also
source RPMs which includes the RPM specs file for building
ALSA from scratch. But note: you may need more tools, headers,
and libs for building than for running, in other words this
means reading the fine manual(s) ;^)
