If you only want to playback the vdr files on windoze, old versions of the
decoder filters are all you need. I have used the ones from here:
http://home.arcor.de/c.v/elecard/

The can play most of the VDR recordings, but not all. Often the displayed
streamlength is wrong and "browsing" through the stream does not work.
Seldom, i only got a slideshow with audio.

The additional streaming stuff in the UDP.zip from Gavin is only neccessary
if you want to try the streaming plugin for vdr. AFAIK, the install programs
in the UDP.zip install the same decoder filters.
