i had such problems for a week after i was installing a new nic and changing from 1.0.4 to the actual developer version (1.0.4 was runnig fine)

after removing the new nic and changing the irq´s (2 dvb-s, one was shared with the irq of the bios-disabled usb) to definatly single use (btw i now use a old ISA graka, less heat and irq) i have no problems

i´m not shure what the problem was, a possible irq storm of the new realtek nic or the shared irq of one dvb-s, but now i don´t have this problem anymore (~3 times a day before, recording still worked fine but live was black and for replay the picture froze and audio looped imidiatly, after a while the watchdog restarted vdr)
maybe i will try to insert the "new" nic at the weekend for testing
