Well, the older versions worked ok, and the NIC has always been there
(integrated into the MB). I could try to see if the BIOS allows me to
change the IRQ though. Yes, it is a RealTek...

Hmm, playback always has worked fine, as far as I can remember, no
problems at all. It's watching/recording that has caused problems, and
mostly for later versions of VDR and the DVB drivers. It's a Hauppauge
full DVB-c card.
