Graham Croxford has written such a script and he plans to release it 
after a few tests.

Personnaly, I prefer appending the EPG data to the VDR epg.data file 
before running VDR, or after having stopped it. The EPG data are updated 
only once a day, early in the morning, so it does not make sense to run 
mhwepg several times a day.
