If the firmware causes all the problems... why isn't there someone other
then convergence deal with this?

The guy who wrote dvb2000 spended alot of time to find out how the dbox
worked and writing in assembler means a very good knowledge of the
hardware.

I have absolute nothing against Convergence but if this ain't fixed,
then VDR
will *never* be stable at all. 

So, I vote for open source firmware.
