Yes, in case of PCI you'r using the hardware buffer of the sound chip
otherwise not.

Btw: some GMX users should configure their mailer interface more correct.
This because massages id's of mail should include a correct domain name
and _not_ some random values.   Many SPAM filters check about a correct
massages id.   There are many mails rejected from my SPAM filter.
