Did you try the mode2/xmode2 tools to see what raw sequences the RC is
sending? I had a similar problem with my old Grundig RC which I was able
to solve by using these commands and editing the LIRC table by hand.

While training the RC with irrecord, did it detect a protocol? If yes,
you could try to generate a configuration in raw mode instead?
