It is here the same on my system, but I get a picture on DVB-S out.
I can remember, that my DVB-S card worked fine on a windows based system, but not on Linux. Maybe it is a hardware problem. I tried to run vdr on a Shuttle SS40 with Mandrake 9.0, Suse 7.3 Professional and Suse 8.0 Professional without success. Now I use the same DVB-S card on A7V8X-X and everything works fine with Suse 7.3 Professional. Can you try your DVB-S in another PC configuration (mainboard)? What mainboard are you using?
