Whoops, I've misread something there. Of course I meant 3.3, not 3.0.3, 
sorry...

And, you're right, why use 3.0.3 - @Steve Brown: Upgrade your distro to one 
which uses at least gcc 3.2, or downgrade your gcc back to 2.9x, if you want 
to be sure _everything_ fits together.
