The disadvantage of this being, that

1) This will slow down the recordings menu substantially, as vdr
   will have to read all these  resume.vdr files before bringing
   the recordings menu up.

2) The asterisk indicator that shows "unviewed" recordings will
   no longer work (unless we implement a threshold value for it).
