Client could make entries in (a shared) timers.conf but would not start any recordings - only the server would do. A per channel solution would also be fineThis would be especially useful in a diskless streamdev client. The current situation is: The server sends the MPEG data to the client and the client sends it back to the server via NFS. These are wasted network and also power resources. The client wouldn't need to be powered on to do a recording. S.
