you  could  write  a  script  which  would read (and delete) timers of the
'client'  via  SVDRP  every now and then (whenever the file timers.conf of
the  'client'  is  changed)  and  set  appropriate timers via SVDRP in the
'server'.

disadvantage:  if  you  start  an  instant  recording, it might take a few
seconds  to  'transfer'  the  timer  to  the 'server'. That means that the
'client'  will  record  this  few seconds and that the 'server' would miss
those seconds.
