[vdr] Human comprehensible directory

Hello,

I have recorded somme video with vdr, and have changed the name of the 
directories contaning the 00x.vdr files to some comprehensible stuff by 
a poor human brain. But now, vdr doens't find the files.
How to tell him where they are ?

BTW, what are index files for ?

PS is there some news about subtitles for canal+ or canalsatellite 
support with a cam-ci ?
