Hi!

Great idea and patch/plugin, but unfortunately my VDR quits if I enter the setup menu. This is the only message in the log:

Bye,

What VDR version are you using?
Does the VDRConf/plugins/MainMenu.conf is populated?
Send me more details please, work for me :(

Hi!

Sorry, forgot all about it. Here some infos: vdr-1.3.16 with several patches (though no conflicts with them as I applied your patch):
cmd_submenu.diff
sourceCaps.diff
vdr-1.3.12-CutterQueue-0.5.patch
vdr-1.3.14-HDTV.patch
vdr-1.3.14-yaepg.diff
vdr-1.3.15-submenu.diff
vdr-1.3.16-enAIO-1.6.diff
vdr-1.3.16-spu-02.diff
vdr-1.3.16_disk_status_in_timer_menu.diff
vdr-1.3.17-ac3-onoff.diff
vdr-RO.patch
vdr-jumpplayex-0.1-1.3.7.diff
vdr-pluginactivity.diff

The /plugins/Mainmenu.conf looks like your example, but I've much more plugins. So do I have to add all of them first, that it works, or are they add automatically.
My plugins:
libvdr-burn.so.1.3.17
libvdr-calc.so.1.3.17
libvdr-dvd.so.1.3.17
libvdr-dvdselect.so.1.3.17
libvdr-epgsearch.so.1.3.17
libvdr-femon.so.1.3.17
libvdr-mp3.so.1.3.17
libvdr-mplayer.so.1.3.17
libvdr-osddemo.so.1.3.17
libvdr-osdimage.so.1.3.17
libvdr-osdpip.so.1.3.17
libvdr-playlist.so.1.3.17
libvdr-radio.so.1.3.17
libvdr-remote.so.1.3.17
libvdr-rotor.so.1.3.17
libvdr-sleeptimer.so.1.3.17
libvdr-status.so.1.3.17
libvdr-streamdev-client.so.1.3.17
libvdr-streamdev-server.so.1.3.17
libvdr-submenu.so.1.3.17
libvdr-sysinfo.so.1.3.17
libvdr-text2skin.so.1.3.17
libvdr-timeline.so.1.3.17
libvdr-tvonscreen.so.1.3.17
libvdr-tvtv.so.1.3.17
libvdr-undelete.so.1.3.17
libvdr-vdrrip.so.1.3.17
libvdr-yaepg.so.1.3.17

Well, it "should" be automatically added...
I'll try with a 1.3.16 to try to reproduct your problem...

Just for information, the patch test if the submenu plugin is launched, and if it is not, just build a standard menu... (but I think you already have seen this ;) )

Well, I've tried with a 1.3.16 ...
The first MainMenu.conf creation is really "buggy" but, once this "passed", I can do whatever I want into plugin setup page :(

Maybe just try a MainMenu.conf like this :

0::Setup

That'll create only the Setup entry, which will let you enter in the plugin setup page, and add whatever you want...

I'll gonna look at the MainMenu.conf creation function to see where it goes wrong...
