Are you using a AV-Receiver with Dolby Digital decoder
which is able to handle the S/P-DIF out of the FF DVB
card?

Note that the S/P-DIF out with AC3 or DTS can not be
handled by _all_ AV-Receivers around there, this because
the non-linear status bit in the S/P-DIF stream can not
be set by the FF DVB card. The AV-Receiver it self has
to analyse the PCM data in the S/P-DIF stream and switch
on the AC3 or DTS decoder if AC3 or DTS is detected.

Are you sure that you really have the test version 1.0rc3 for
of the firmwar 0x261d running. Please check this, the file
dvb-ttpci-01.fw has the md5 checksum

You may use a _vanilla_ vdr-1.3.17.
