Hi Norm,

seems that the out of sync is caused by vdrsync.pl respectively the 
programms called by vdrsync.pl. There are several threads in the german 
vdr-board about that item (www.vdrportal.de).

Try and have a look at http://vdrsync.vdr-portal.de/, the home vdrsync.pl.

Switching from PAL to NTSC may also be done with paramters of the helper 
programms called by vdrsync...
