Maybe it is the EPG scanner. Over the years I had similar problems and
after reducing the channel list to the channels that have usable contant
this problems disappeared. I have put diagnostic output into the channel
switch function to see to what channel a card has tuned. I also
generally changed the scan algorithm so that only one scan through all
channels is done every few hours.
