[vdr] Recording shows on timer may corrupt initial AID selection in mplayer.
It appears that if a channel has not been tuned in recently and you set
a timer to record a show on that channel, there can be problems playing
back the multiple audio tracks using mplayer on that recording. For
example, the new multi-track selection audio playback feature in
mp3-0.9.8 which allows you to choose the "AID" (audio identification
number). It seems that some TIMED recordings get the audio tracks out
of sync if VDR has to "retune" the channel before initializing the
recording. I am unable to use the AID feature (select between the
multiple audio tracks) in mplayer when that happens. Yes, I am sure the
recording is broadcast in multiple languages and I am not including any
DD or AC3 audio in this observation. But, if I tune to a channel
manually, and manually perform a recording, the initial audio track
selection is never corrupted and the "AID" feature in mplayer works
fine. I hope I said that right :). BTW, VDR does not seem to have any
issues playing back the recording (from the timer), except for severe
A/V desync. It appears like there is some kind of problem going on with
the way timers are switching the channel and trying to start a recording
before vdr is actually tuned in all the way. This is why vdr usually
creates an initial 001.vdr file with only a few bytes in it. It
switched to a channel, started the recording, then realized it was not
tuned in so it stopped the recording and "retuned" the channel, then vdr
resumed the recording on 002.vdr. Which means now the main recording is
on 002 not 001. So when using mplayer to playback the 002.vdr file,
this is when the AID selection is broken.
