[vdr] Cutting in place with vdrsync?

Is there a way to make vdrsync (with vdrconvert) use the marks.vdr to 
cut the video in place before it creates the dvd?  This way I will not 
have to actually perform the video edit with vdr and risk losing my 
original source.
