Yes, and if you use the latest vdrsync developer version, it will give
you more info about the cut marks.  I just hope that I am computing the
total frames correctly.  I assume by taking the total about of time (in
seconds) and multiplying that by the frame rate would give a decent
estimation.  If there is a better way of computing it, pls let me know :)

Hmm... I do not use the number of frames up to now.
For what are you using it?

Just from trying to follow the vdr2dvd.sh script, it appears that the FRAMES.txt gets passed on to the multiplexer for synchronization purposes (but pls dont quote me on that :) ).
