AVerMedia is a Taiwanese company that produces and sells many different analog and digital TV devices for personal computers.

Some AVerMedia devices are well supported under linux via drivers from the LinuxTV project. AVerMedia, themselves, do not provide direct support for their devices under Linux but for one exception (which itself is a case that is quite limited/constrained in scope). A dialogue with George Chen, AVerMedia Technologies S.L. director, outlines the company's current position in regards to Linux (Spanish).
