I use it under 2.4.x (up to 2.4.3-ac9) without problem, only thinks is
that I have to compile using egcs (Mandrake gcc 2.96 won't compile
CVS-DVB at that time).

Why not use the script that came with dvdplayer for playing DVD (I think
playdvd.something, I don't remember cause I have changed it a little to
launch lircd and eject the DVD as the playing is finished and renamed it
to DVD which is shorter)?
