It's by far not as bad as it sounds - and if I remember correctly, there are
tuning problems with the old DVB card model, too. I bought a new Hauppauge
card a while ago and I have been using it since the Linux driver supports
that card. In the beginning it was pretty frustrating because you had to
restart the driver after a couple (4-5) channel switches and sometimes it
wouldn't tune a channel at all but there have been huge improvements since
then. For the last 2-3 weeks, the driver and VDR have become stable enough
for 24/7 unattended use [if you don't use the system for endless
turbo-zapping ;-)].

Regards,
hh
