Not being able to receive ARD, ZDF, Pro7, SAT1, 3sat, Eurosport, DSF, BR,
WDR, Kabel-1, arte, n-tv, EuroNews, tm3, Phoenix, Br-alpha and quite a
few more is "not as bad as it sounds"?

I wasn't talking about reliable channel switching. As long as I stay within
channels that are transmitted on 12188/H, 12110/H, 12168/V or 12552/V vdr
switches absolutely reliably.
But switching to a channel that is not transmitted on any of these transponders
shows a success rate of 0% which I wouldn't necessarily phrase as "sometimes it
wouldn't tune a channel".
