[linux-dvb] Newbe (SW developing)

Hi!

I'm looking on the SW  ( siemens_dvb 0.9.4 )driver of DVB-S PCI card and
trying to understand anything.

My interest is focalysed in particular on the Common Interface (CI)module
and its SW driver.

1) I don't understand ( from the SW point of view) if the CI is menaged by
the computer CPU or by the Texas chip present on the DVB board.

2) is there a SW explanation for develop beginner like me. ;-)
