I've just managed to reproduce this with the latest driver as well: what I
did was to boot into Win XP, tune to this mux with the Windows driver,
then soft reboot back into Linux. The debug output on the driver is still
looping through init exactly as I described in my last e-mail, and hasn't
even attempted to upload the firmware: presumably the firmware has been
left in the card by the Windows driver, the frontend is still tuned to the
right frequent, and this is enough for dvbtune to receive the service info!

tzap is now giving a varing snr, e.g:

status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 003f | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0040 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 005c | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |

and dvbtune will dump the channel list:

./dvbtune -i -f 641833333 -qam 16 -cr 3_4 | ./xml2vdr -

So, the burning question is why doesn't the linux driver initialize?

Cheers,
Ben.
