Someone just announced patches for the cx2388x blackbird reference
design on the v4l list.  Thats a card with a hardware mpeg encoder for
analog tv.  I'll have a look at them and try to merge stuff into the
cx88 driver, they likely solve at least a part of the problem (DMA the
MPEG2 stream).  Some glue code to feed MPEG to the dvb software demux
instead directly to userspace shouldn't be hard I think.

The real problem is the Connexant Frontend tuner on the board as
connexant usually isn't willing to give out specs.
