Maybe you didn't follow the various messages concerning a "plugin" system
for VDR? I want the core VDR functionality to be "lean & clean", and additional
functions (like players, teletext viewers etc) to be implemented as external
libraries, which VDR can load upon request. That way each add-on can be developed
separately, completely apart from the VDR core, and there will be no more need
for "all-in-one" patches (or at least they can be a lot smaller then).

If I just "slammed" all the currently available patches at the VDR code,
we would most likely end up with a completely unmaintainable piece of
code with hundreds of '#ifdef's...

The version numbering scheme as of 1.0.0 will be the same as with the Linux
kernel: even numbers at the second place will be used for stable versions,
while odd numbers will be used for development versions.

The first development version 1.1.x will mainly bring the plugin system
for external add-on developers. However, it will take a while until I
will have something that is worth publishing...
