[vdr] packet size of recordings

hi all!

i want to optimize the transfer rate of my nfs based client (=vdr) server
solution.
so my question is: what's the size of the packets transferred by VDR.

maybe the question is not asked right for network pros. :) so to make it a
bit clear: i want to read BIG files. but i don't read them at one, but in
small chunks. (more like streaming). and i would like to know how big these
chunks are.

any idea?
