I zapp and zapp don't know what channel # i'm at.
i see a good movie and suddenly a commercial break.

what if you used +/- to come to this channel?
it's not the point!

Then whold like to see some news, I do right key until my NEWS group selection pop-up.(ch#25)
but now the good news is two + away(zero will lose the movie ch#)
oo sh*t there is only bad news here and maybe the commercial break is
over.

If i press zero now I jump one channel up(-) #26.

no, you wouldn't.
where then?
ok, i understand, we both want basicly the same. but your suggestion, is
more limmiting then mine.

in the above example, you are not allowed to switch to the "to be
remembered channel" by left,left,minus,minus,minus,(uups, to far!)plus.

channels will only get marked for "0" switching, when not got switched
to using +/-. thats the point. you see?

what is a good timeout value?
If the timeout is set to 5 sec.
start zapping(+) from #3 -> #8
AhMy Goddess what a sweet dolphin i see,
so i stay there seeing it swims away.
hurry up dolphin, i only got 2 more seconds to see you else
the zero button will remember this channel.
lucky us it was a fast dolphin.

continue zapping(+) #8 -> #13
*g* that is a good looking babe,
well she is definitely at least 10 sec worth seeing.

continue zapping(+) #13 -> #25
and now when press zero. not a lucky number 13. is't?

I feel this is a stress factor!

if you can go there quick with(left,right,+ or -), you also can go back quick.

why not, when starting vdr.
zero memory is nothing.
and when pressing zero it will remember this channel.
if i press #342,left ok,right ok, + or/and - it will not touch the zero memory.
Then press zero, it will remember this channel and jump to what it was.(it can be a beautiful code)
